Red Finches

Red finches noshing,
Singing as they eat and preen,
Early morning feast.

Where have they traveled?
What have they seen?
What are they singing,
While feeding on seed?

It doesn’t matter,
They’re lovely to watch.
I’m happy they visited
my late summer dream.
