Every Rose Has Its Thorn, A Haiku

Sweet pink rose scent rises.
Every rose has its thorn.
No joy without pain.

New Year’s Eve 2015

Raw cold, clearing skies,
Occasional snowflakes fall.
New year mountains glow.

Sunflowers blooming…

Sunflowers blooming,
Rabbit eating green, green grass.
Cold gray skies bring snow.

Morning Quiet

Peaceful quiet morn.
Even the birds are sleeping.
A train whistle blows.

Devotion to God.
Pondering life’s big questions.
Time to crochet love.
