Fairy dust and starlight,
Excite a little girl’s heart,
She’s sure there is magic,
In the sparkle of the stars.
She was only five
and had a rough life,
now in a new home,
she prayed for less strife.
Her foster parents spoke of Jesus
and going to Sunday School,
they gave her a new dress,
with sparkles, lace and tulle.
There were sparkles in her eyes,
but they slid down her face.
seems mean little girls,
didn’t know about grace.
The pretty lady noticed,
and took her in her arms,
“Honey, you look beautiful
with your sparkles and your charm.
The other little girls are jealous,
But they don’t mean you harm.
You just keep on sparkling,
Jesus made you so.
You have fairy dust and starlight,
to share with us,
and remind us of His love.
